Movie extras don’t necessarily need any past experience for the most part to get booked a the role, what is most important is if tyou are easy to get along with and if you can be trusted to be on time, all the time. Movie extra actors have all the same rights as any other lead role actor in a film, and they will often get paid some sort of compensation. Some of the independent and student films on the other hand, might not have any actual pay, but it is still well worth the acting experience.
