RAID
RAID stands for “Redundant Array of Independent (formerly “Inexpensive”) Disks.” RAID is a collection of hard drives in a computer that is used for performance enhancement and/or fault tolerance. Windows server versions (Windows NT and 2000 Server, and Windows Server 2003) have built-in support for some levels of RAID, but hardware-based RAID systems provide better performance. The most basic level of RAID uses two hard drives to increase performance, while higher levels store data on two or more drives so that if one fails, the data won’t be lost. SCSI drives are usually used in RAID systems. In hardware-based RAID systems, it is common for the drives to be removable; they are kept in a caddy that is accessible through an opening in the case. When one fails, it can easily be replaced. More advanced systems employ hot-swappable drives. These are drives that can be removed and replaced without shutting down the system. Naturally, all this technology is much more expensive than standard PCs, so it is used mainly in business and government situations in which downtime and/or data loss would be catastrophic to the operation of the organization. For more information on RAID, see raidweb.com, and search the Web for more articles; there are many.

You’ve just eaten a big meal and leaned back in your favorite chair to watch your favorite TV program. As you begin to relax, your chest starts to hurt so much it feels like it’s on fire. You may be experiencing heartburn. According to studies, about 30% of adults experience occasional heartburn, while 10% experience heartburn almost every single every day. Heartburn is common, and an occasional episode is generally nothing to worry about. However, many people have already considered heartburn as a uncomfortable condition that requires medication or medical attention.

The elusive stand-up comic with worldwide exposure known as Dave Chappelle recently produced a film that is part music-video, part documentary. Using his fame to give back to the community, Chappelle commissioned several buses to load up people from his semi-rural community and take them to New York City for the block party of a lifetime. Chappelle provides food, hotel stays, and transportation for the invitees, and the look on their faces as he invites them really can put a smile on your face. No tickets were on-sale for the concert; Chappelle kept it largely underground, only informing a few of the local neighborhoods about the performance.

Many companies manufacture dance wear, costumes and fleece warm up clothing for professional ballet dancers and students of ballet. Ballet dancers usually wear either tights or leotards for comfortable body maneuver. The tights worn depend on the type of slippers that the dancer wears. They can be footed with an elastic strap at the foot that is hooked onto the heel. Tights can also be footless ending at the ankle. Ballet tights are made of nylon, micro fiber, fishnet and other materials. Tights come in a variety of colors, with the most popular being pink and black. Most dance schools require pink, footed tights for girls and black tights and white socks for boys. Brand names include Prima Soft, Danskin, Capezio and Mondor.
Leotards are available in a variety of designs and interesting fabrics like ribbed cotton and velvet. Some of the more popular styles include the double-strap or cross-strap camisoles by Capezio, Leo’s Dancewear and Motionwear.
There are no specific brands of shoes that schools require but many encourage that girls wear pink and boys wear black or white for ballet. Popular ballet manufacturers are Sansha, Bloch, Grisko, Capezio and Prima Soft. These companies have popular full-soled and split-soled shoes. Capezio sells leather Romeos, split-sole ballet shoes designed especially for men.
Ballet dancing instructors can be strict about accessories, but most allow short skirts to be worn during variation classes, but only at the instructor’s discretion. Some allow skirts that match your leotard, such as the Mirella collection that has skirts color coordinated to their leotard line. Some allow for creativity, and students can opt for the hand-dyed look of Watercolour skirts.
Fun accessories include unique dance bags and warm-ups. The strong growth in the Bulgarian economy is continuing and this is emphasised by the confidence in the market shown by companies such as GE for example.
GE Commercial Finance Real Estate recently announced it will be acquiring a 50% stake of the Mall of Sofia. The Mall is an enormous trade, business and entertainment centre currently under construction in the heart of the capital city.
The acquisition is costing approximately EUR 37M and was made by a consortium of GE Commercial Finance Real Estate and Quinlan Private.
This investment can only encourage the current growing trend in the Bulgarian property market and indicates GE’s intentions to expand to the countries in Central and Eastern Europe.
Copenhagen Airports has announced it will increase their planned investments in Bulgaria’s Varna and Burgas airports from EUR 106M to EUR 140M by the end of 2008. The added investment is been used to bring the airport and its facilities up to date and to deal with the constantly increasing passenger traffic.
A corporate analysis on the airports of Varna and Burgas shows that unless urgent reforms are implemented at both facilities, the airports may see a decrease in expected traffic as soon as next season.
Tour operators are likely to redirect tourists to alternative destinations due to insufficient quality of services and this would have a knock-on effect for hotels with poor bed occupancy and a possible slowdown in the overall economic development of the region. Bulgaria’s top three airports at Sofia, Varna and Burgas have seen a 20% increase in passenger traffic.
New European low cost air-carrier Wizz Air has completed its first flight with destination Sofia.
Tickets for the flight started selling in Bulgaria three moths before, and 155 passengers were on board for the new beginning.
Wizz Air is now flying the Sofia-Budapest Route four times a week, and is looking to expand the number of flights out of other Bulgarian airports and increase the destination sites throughout Europe, focusing on the markets of Central and Eastern Europe. The airline took off at the end of May from the southern Polish city of Katowice, initially flying to Budapest, London’s Luton airport, Rome, Milan, Venice and Berlin.
In closing, the above investments in the real estate sector, infrastructure and travel reflect the growing confidence in the future of Bulgaria as a major player in the region and move the country closer to expected EU integration in 2007.

We all desire to have a perfect vision. However with growing age or any unfortunate mis-happening an individuals vision may get distorted. But today science has blessed mankind with several wonderful techniques to rectify the faulty vision.
1.Flap Procedure treatments- are those where the surgeon removes the flap in the cornea to have an access to the tissue underneath. Some of the well known Flap treatments are as follows-
LASIK refractive eye surgery is quite a commendable eye surgery these days. The term LASIK stands for laser in situ keratomileusis surgery. This treatment is basically meant to treat nearsightedness (myopia), farsightedness (hyperopia) and astigmatism (misshapen cornea). LASIK provides a correct vision through the use of a laser by reshaping the cornea and changing its focusing power. LASIK usually takes less than one minute per eye. In USA LASIK surgeries have been performed since 1993.
Contemporary technique of LASEK or Laser Epithelial Keratoileusis surgery is also widely in use nowadays. LASEK is akin to LASIK refractive eye surgery. But unlike LASIK, in LASEK the surgeon cuts a flap in the epithelium only instead of through the epithelium and part of the stroma. After this the surgeon loosens the edges of the flap with the help of alcohol. The cases that are too sensitive to be treated by LASIK i.e. where people have thin or flat corneas are operated under the LASEK. Though LASEK is quite beneficial it has few shortcomings over LASIK. For instance the after LASEK surgery the patient feels uncomfortable for a long time and in comparison to LASIK, LASEK takes more time to heal.
Epi-LASIK surgery is also a form of LASEK where the flap is removed only at the epithelium without the use of any blade or alcohol. In Epi-LASIK the surgeon makes use of a separator, epikeratome that creates an epithelial sheet. Since there is no alcohol used in this entire process, the patient feels less pain in this surgery and heals relatively faster.
ALK or the Automated Lamellar Keratoplasty surgery is meant to treat the problem of nearsightedness and mild farsightedness. In ALK firstly the surgeon cuts a flap in the stroma. Then with the use of a microkeratome he removes the material under the flap. This removal is not done in case ALK is taken up to treat far-sightedness. Usually it takes less than an hour to do the ALK eye surgery.
2.Photoablation Technique- this requires the use of ultraviolet radiation to remove the eye tissues. Photoablation is basically the step that follows LASIK and LASEK surgeries.
PRK or Photorefractive Keratectomy is a surgery that mainly treats nearsightedness, mild farsightedness and astigmatism. Here the surgeon makes the use of an excimer laser to remove the tissue from the surface of the cornea. The tissue ablation is taken up to give a new shape and minimize the vision problem. PRK is not a lengthy procedure. It usually takes less than one minute per eye.

Backing up the hard drive on your home computer.is like flossing your teeth-everyone knows they should do it but few people do so regularly.
According to a recent study from Dallas-based Parks Associates, a market research and consulting company, more than one-third of consumers don’t back up their digital documents and content at all, putting nearly 30 million households at risk for catastrophic data loss. By postponing the backup of your computer’s hard drive, you may risk the loss of files that represent irreplaceable memories such as baby photos or wedding videos, digital music collections or critical data such as financial records or tax returns.
Hard drives are the computer component most likely to fail. It is not a question of if a hard drive will fail, but when. The cost of recovering a crashed drive is remarkably expensive, typically falling between $600 and $4,000-depending on the extent of work involved and the urgency of turning around the recovery.
M. Fahim Siddiqui, Chief Executive Officer, Sereniti, Inc., a home and small office computer networking and security solutions provider, recommends taking the following steps often to secure files on your computer:
• Select a backup system-Files can be backed up by copying them to an external storage device, commonly called Network Attached Storage or NAS, to a CD-ROM, DVD or a USB memory device.
• Back up regularly-The more often you download music, photos or video or save documents, the more frequently you should back up the computer.
• Back up all your files-Users often back up only a small set of files, without realizing how much valuable information is stored on the entire hard drive; for early backups, users should ensure that the entire hard drive is copied.
• Make sure your backup is secure-Users should check their backup device regularly to make sure that their archives are complete and useable.
• Use an automated backup device. Managing backups can get complicated, since it requires managing schedules, file locations and storage; to make backups easy, use an automatic backup device.
• System restore-Learn how to do a “system restore” on your computer, which, in the event of a major problem, may enable you to retrieve data on your machine by restoring the programs, settings and files on it to the way they were days or weeks earlier. WindowsXP includes this within the Accessories programs.
One way to expedite the backup of single or multiple home computers is to have a central backup system that is attached to all the computers in the home. Sereniti’s EasyCare360 is a subscription PC and network support service that includes 80GB of network storage with automatic backup, wireless router and secure Internet Gateway that can automatically back up any computers on the home network.

Your business has a web site. You were careful in selecting a designer who understood how crucial your site is to your marketing strategy, and who had the skills to integrate and present your content in a way that fulfills that strategy. It’s well designed and optimized. Now you can just sit back and wait for the profits to roll in right? Wrong!
A well designed web site is just the beginning. A good marketing strategy never stops improving, and your web site is a vital marketing tool. How do you improve its effectiveness in bringing in more and more leads and turning higher and higher percentages of those leads into conversions?
You do this by understanding everything you can about the people who visit your site. How did the visitor find your site? Did they find you from a link pointing to your site, a search engine? What keywords did they use for that search? How long did that visitor stay at your site? What did they look at? What didn’t they look at? How far into a payment process did they get before they abandoned the purchase? What prevented them from becoming a customer?
Knowing the answers to questions like these is extremely important in order for you to refine your web site. You want to to use more of what is working for you and get rid of content that doesn’t work for you. It will also keep your site up to date in an ever changing marketplace. Now how do you get this information?
The answer is ‘web analytics’. Web analytics gathers information about what visitors do when they are at your web site, and then organizes that data into reports you can customize to suit your needs. Analytics can either be hosted online by a provider of the service or can be purchased as a program that you own and manage. There are many different venders of web analytic services.
Analytics packages can be hosted for as low as $30 per month and this price goes up as the amount of data tracking increases. Programs, on the other hand, will vary in cost from free trial versions with very few features, to costing thousands of dollars for complete, full spectrum tracking. Knowing what you need to know about your visitors, will help you decide the level of tracking features you need to get the most out of your web site.
It is important to look at the information gathered in these reports, at the very least, on a weekly basis, and to make changes to your web site based on this information. Trust the data, not your expectations of what your potential customers want. Web analytics is a powerful marketing weapon and sets apart those who are serious about having a web site that significantly enhances their business, from those who are not.

As the headlines from the draft and minicamps fade from the headlines, coaches, scouting staffs and players all tend to head in separate directions this time of year for some final R&R before the last minicamps and final preparations for training camps begin in a few weeks.
The NFL has become a year-round job in the past 20-25 years, and many team employees regularly put in 80-hour weeks or more throughout the year. This time is much needed by many to recharge before the grind of the season begins.
That doesnt mean that team officials will sleep easily for the next month, however, as this time of year has become Nervous Season for the league due to the fact that many players find trouble, or trouble finds them, depending on the point of view you believe, when there is nothing structured in place to keep them focused.
One only needs to look at the headlines from the past few of weeks to understand why certain teams are scrambling to come up with contingency plans just in case players who have run afoul with the law are suddenly unavailable for any period of time.
1. Ricky Manning, Jr. and Maurice Drew
Although the incident in question here actually allegedly took place in April, the news hit the stands in the past couple of weeks, and the ramifications could be troubling for two NFL teams. According to police reports, Manning, Jr., Drew and another player with UCLA ties viciously assaulted a UCLA student at a Dennys restaurant in Westwood in the early morning hours, resulting in serious injury and serious charges. Manning, Jr. was recently signed to a big-money contract by the Bears, and Drew was a second-round draft choice by the Jaguars.
2. Jake Plummer
Plummer was reportedly involved in a road rage incident where he cut off another driver and kicked the other car. Before leaving the scene, Plummer allegedly backed his car into the other drivers automobile. There are two sides to this story, but its one large headache for the Broncos and their starting QB.
3. Cory Rodgers
The Packers recent fourth-round draft pick was involved in what is believed to be a confrontation with gang members in a Texas bar after refusing to buy drinks and sign autographs for patrons in the bar. According to police reports, Rodgers fled the scene of the altercation, but police reports indicate that he allegedly discharged a gun into the air as he left the melee. Rodgers was going to be given a chance to contribute to the Packers special teams in a big way, and still may do so, but hell have to clean up this mess before he can proceed with his football career.
4. Reuben Droughns
Three days after being acquitted of a DUI charge, Droughns was charged with domestic violence-related offenses in relation to an incident on May 12 where he allegedly threw his wife out the back door of their home after she told him she wanted a divorce. Although the charges are misdemeanors, Droughns once again has legal problems, and the Browns featured RB could be distracted as he heads to training camp.
5. Santonio Holmes
Holmes was arrested for disorderly conduct at a Miami-area hotel after a confrontation with local police. The details of the incident are unclear, but this is not the way a classy organization like the Steelers wants to introduce its top rookie to the rest of the NFL.
A few things need to be stressed. First, none of these players have been convicted of anything, and everyone must assume theyre innocent until proven otherwise. Secondly, these are only a few examples of legal issues faced by players.
However, these incidents definitely affect the way teams operate, as no one can predict a player being unavailable for duty as a result of legal troubles any more than they can predict injuries. Not to mention, the NFL may get involved with any of these incidents and issue its own discipline by way of fines and/or suspensions if the situations warrant it under the current CBA.
Regardless of what happens, team officials around the league may be trying to take it easy these days, but everyone will breathe a little easier when players report for the season and the time for distractions and trouble has passed.

Whos most affected by ear infections?
Children are the most common group affected by otitis media (ear infection). Three out of four children experience an earache or ear infection by the time they are three years old. Why is this important for you to know? Its important because youll be able to recognize the signs of an impending ear infection for your children and do something about it before it becomes a problem.
How do earaches occur?
Did you know that swimming or taking a shower can lead to an ear infection? Ear infections are caused by trapped water, moisture and bacteria growth in the inner ear. This build up in the inner ear irritates the Eustachian tube and causes it to swell. The swelling of the Eustachian tube then puts added pressure on the inner ear and that leads to the aching that we feel. The pressure in the ear constantly builds as water and moisture are not able to drain from the ear through the nose. Alas, the inner ear infection is born. Allergies and cleaning your ear with a cotton swab can also lead to earaches and ear infections. All of the pressure in the ear eventually leads to hearing loss, itching, swelling in the ear, and pain. Thats when an earache occurs and causes discomfort. All of these ear infection symptoms can be treated and even prevented before you have a full blown earache.
Stop the pain before it starts
Having an earache is never any fun and thats why you should take preventive measures before experiencing the pain of having one. Did you know that cleaning your nasal passage actually reduces the chance of suffering from an ear infection? The best way to rid yourself of chronic ear infection and earache is by keeping pollutants and irritants out of the Eustachian tube so that water can drain through the throat. Also, chewing gum or doing some other kind of chewing motion with the jaw will help reduce chances of getting an earache or ear infection. Other than these suggestions, there are only a few ways to rid yourself of an ear infection after getting it. If youre already experiencing the pains from an ear infection, go to your local doctor for antibiotics.
Remember, just because you feel an earache coming on, doesnt mean you have to live with the pain of it. Take the proper measures to ensure that you and your children dont suffer the pains of an ear infection. Now, you know what to do to rid yourself of the pressure and pain that earaches and ear infections cause almost 10 million people a year.

Copyright 2006 Bravos Direct
The sport of model airplane combat has been around now for decades and in recent years has grown exponentially. The human race is naturally competitive and it’s only natural that modelers are going to find a way to pit their flying skills against each other.
In combat, competitors tie a lengthy streamer to the rear of their model, and take to the skies in an attempt to cut their opponents streamer with their propeller or wing. Category after category has been created to allow all sorts of planes to enter combat. What used to be reserved for balsa and ply-wood built planes has now expanded to allow for much more durable RC model airplanes that are even capable of surviving mid-air collisions (sometimes!).
Balsa, Foam, and SPAD model airplanes all take to the skies to see who is Top Dog. Combat clubs can be found in just about every country on the planet. The two largest RC model airplane combat associations are the Radio Control Combat Association (RCCA) and the National Sports Combat Club (NSCC).
Just about every model airplane combat group has one thing in common. Your model airplane and you competitor’s must both fall into the same category to make the combat fair. A few examples of these classes are; Slow Survivable Combat (SSC), Open Classes, and Scale. Each of these classes have strict requirements about the size of the engine used, the overall weight of the aircraft, the size of the prop, and in some cases even the shape of the fuselage must conform to the rules.
At one time model airplane combat got pretty fast and furious with high speeds and a high attrition rate as planes ploughed into each other and into the ground. The Slow Surviveable Class was developed to counter this tendency and the rules produce a big, slow flying airplane without an excess of power. As a result, this class is much more suitable for beginners, the models survive much better and can often be used for other forms of flying.
When fighting in the SSC class, a single round of combat lasts 5 minutes. You must have a .15 engine and your airplane is required to weigh no less than 2.5 pounds. There are no restrictions on your airplane’s wingspan, but the overall wing area must be at least 400 square inches. All combating RC model airplanes use an unmodified Master Airscrew 8×3 prop and the maximum allowable RPM is 17,500rpm at launch. RPM testing is often performed before combat starts to make sure everyone is conforming to the rules.
The other classes of combat, Open Classes and Scale, all have different rules and restrictions regarding weight, engine, and appearance but the objective of all of them is to ensure that it is the skill of the pilot that is being tested and not the airplane.
What all of these classes do have in common is some sort of point system. Combat contestants earn points for things such as cutting their opponents streamers, continuous flying during combat, launching within the set time limit, as well as points for every foot of streamer left when landing. Points can also be deducted for not engaging an opponent in combat. Pilots that avoid fights will be penalized. If your model airplane crosses various safety lines which define the combat area this will also earn penalty deductions.
Model airplane combat whether RC or Control Line can add a very exciting element to an already enjoyable hobby. So what’s holding you back? Give it a try, inquire with other flyers at your local flying field. Large combat associations might have strict rules, but feel free to make up your own when you set out pit your model airplane flying skills against your friends.

They had five future Hall of Famers on the team. Comprised of Duke Snider, Pee Wee Reese, Jackie Robinson, Roy Campenella, and Sandy Koufax. They proved that wait till next year finally can happen.
1961 New York Yankees
They won 109 games. They had six players with at least 20 home runs led by Mickey Mantle (54 home runs) and Roger Maris (61 home runs), At that time the Yankees set the record for most home runs in a year. Beat the Reds in the World Series four games to one. I remember watching this team play. I never thought they would lose. This team was a batting machine. One after another. They hit and hit and hit some more.
1969 Mets
Because they finished the previous year 24 games
out of first place they were not picked very high in the beginning of the year to do well. They had most of the same players in 1969 that they had in 1968. Then somewhere somehow they seemed to create an aura of invincibility. This is one team for the ages. Once they got to the World Series you knew that they were a team of destiny and would win the trophy. This was a miracle team.

Won all seven of their playoff games. Scored 857 runs while allowing 633. Seven pitchers with double digit wins. They won the pennant by ten games. They had three future Hall of Famers. They were Johnny Bench, Joe Morgan and Tony Perez. This was an awesome team. If they had better pitching I think this team would have been one of the top five of all time.
1984 Detroit Tigers
Won the Eastern Division by 15 games. Started the season in first place and stayed there for the entire year. Winning 35 of their first 40 games. Would they ever lose? This was the best start to any season for ant baseball team I have ever seen.
1998 New York Yankees
Won their division by 22 games. Including playoffs they won 125 games and lost only 50 games for an overall 714 winning per cent age. They scored more than 300 runs than their opponents. 965 runs to the oppositions 656 runs. Ten players with at least 10 home runs.
So there you have it. My 14 greatest teams of all time. You may agree or disagree. But one thing is for sure. All these teams were pretty good.
Feel free to pass this article on to anyone you think would enjoy these stats.

Asbestos testing is a very important process, since people know the dangers of this mineral (asbestos is a group of fibrous metamorphic minerals of the hydrous magnesium silicate variety). Most asbestos fibers are invisible to the human eye because their size.
Asbestos testing is necessary, because you can’t tell whether a material contains asbestos simply by looking at it, unless it is labeled. If in doubt, treat the material as if it contains asbestos or have it sampled and analyzed by a qualified professional. A professional should take samples for analysis, a professional knows what to look for, and because there may be an increased health risk if fibers are released.
Asbestos testing should always be done by an expert.
For asbestos testing the requirement of EPA is the polarized light microscopy (PLM asbestos test method) analysis with specialized microscopes. The results of asbestos testing establish the percentage and type of asbestos present in the sample material.
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA or sometimes USEPA) is an agency of the federal government of the United States charged with protecting human health and with safeguarding the natural environment: air, water, and land. The EPA began operation on December 2, 1970. The current Administrator (as of 2006) is Stephen L. Johnson.
If you would like to know, where you can find EPA regional offices and the list of EPA administrators you need to check the following URL: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EPA.
Asbestos Fiber Analysis (PLM Test Method)
The purpose of the Bulk Asbestos Program is to accredit testing laboratories to assure that they are competent to analyze bulk samples for asbestos testing, using polarized light microscopy (PLM).
National Institute of Standards and Technology (formerly the National Bureau of Standards) develop an accreditation program for laboratories conducting analyses of bulk samples of asbestos-containing material.
You can find the accredit asbestos testing laboratories list here: http://ts.nist.gov/ts/htdocs/210/214/scopes/plmtm.htm
Asbestos Lawyers are the lawyers that specialize in the cases dealing specifically with the hazardous effects induced by Asbestos exposure. If you are or someone in your family is an asbestos victim, you will need an asbestos lawyer. More info you can check the following site:

Are schools safe?? Considering the number of tragic events that have occurred at schools across the country in recent years, this is one question every parent, teacher, administrator and community member is having a hard time answering.
The recent shooting in Red Lake, Minn., put another act of classroom violence on the map. This tragedy, as well as other high-profile school shootings such as the one at Columbine High School in Colorado and others in Tennessee, Oregon and Michigan, clearly show that school violence is not limited by geography or demographics.
This deadly pattern has stirred concerns about school safety, gun control and the need to address the roots of such violence in the nation’s schools.
To raise awareness of school safety and security issues and to help make schools more safe, the National Crime Prevention Council, best known for its 25-year-old beloved icon, McGruff the Crime Dog, developed the Be Safe and Sound initiative in collaboration with National PTA. This public education effort, funded by the Allstate Foundation, Assa Abloy Group and the Security Industry Association, mobilizes parents to work with school officials and policymakers in creating an environment where students feel safe.
The initiative distributes publications that help parents and others learn the ropes to becoming involved in school safety issues. Its “Caregivers’ Guide to School Safety and Security,” for example, outlines specific actions they can take to help improve school safety and includes an overview of security guidelines.
Another helpful resource is the “School Safety and Security Toolkit: A Guide for Parents, Schools, and Communities.” This guide gives parents and community members the tools they need to work with school administrators and policymakers to assess the safety and security of schools and plan for improvements.
“Until we put school safety at the top of the community agenda, our schools – and our children – will continue to be vulnerable,” said Alfonso E. Lenhardt, president and CEO of the National Crime Prevention Council.

Whether it’s a New England clambake, a Hawaiian luau or a traditional backyard barbeque, these tips make it simple and cost effective to throw a party to remember.
Once you’ve picked the date and the guest list, you’re ready to plan the dcor. To kick off any fete, I recommend a conversation starter and an “Oh Wow” factor (that can be the invitation, dcor or even a specialty cocktail).
Invitations are your guests’ first clue as to the theme of the party. If you’re planning a nautical-themed party, send the invitation in a bottle filled with sand. Carry the theme into the party with seashells as place cards and navy tablecloths. Flowers, such as sunflowers, daisies or chrysanthemums, are a beautiful, simple centerpiece.
Party refreshments should match the weather-light and easy. For example, serve a fresh gazpacho as a first course, followed by the BBQ staples of hamburgers, grilled chicken, veggie burgers and ribs.
Easy and healthy side salads include Spanish salad with mandarin oranges and couscous with apricot. And for dessert, try a simple bowl of ice cream dressed up with strawberries.
For the bar, you want to keep it simple, flavorful, colorful and fun. One of my favorites is Southseas Punch; just blend ice with a fresh banana, splash of pineapple juice and 1/2 bottle of Zima XXX Hard Punch. Serve in a pint glass and garnish with a pineapple wedge and an orchid flower. Serving beverages such as Zima XXX, that come in bright colors, is the perfect way to make a splash at your everyday get-together. For non-drinkers, try a hibiscus iced tea garnished with mint for instant refreshment.
To make sure yours is the party they remember-and always make time for-be sure to give guests a memorable party favor as a parting gift. You don’t need to spend a lot to make personalized favors. Get out your old instant Polaroid and take snaps of all the fun moments throughout the party. Make your own customized labels with the date and theme of the party and give one to each of your guests.
Refreshments should match the weather-light and easy. When planning drinks for your party, keep them simple, flavorful, colorful and fun.

No problem, I could quit anytime I want to. That is the case for many smokers who believe they can quit anytime they want to as though they believe they had a magic switch to turn the nicotine off.
But when you ask them why they are not quitting, it would as if of a sudden, theyre mind starts to get creative and could punch out 101 excuses. Sounds familiar right? The reality is…
Smokers Are Addicted And Need Preparation Before Quitting!
This is because nicotine and chemicals when introduced into our body greatly affect our biological system. Smokers need preparation for quitting are because of the withdrawal symptoms.
Nicotine is a stimulant drug of which its effects where both simulation and relaxation may be felt. You see when we smoke, our body gets used to a certain alteration of conditions in our body. The brain gets used to these certain alternation very quickly even before we can notice it.
Now, theres a new balance in the brain due to those alterations. When the timely dose of nicotine or whatever chemicals as a result of smoking is not channeled towards the brain, the brain gets upset. Hence we feel uncomfortable with different people enduring different symptoms.
Some of the withdrawal symptoms include:
Cravings to smoke
Irritation
Anger
Insomnia
Dry mouth
Anxiety
Fatigue
Inability to Concentrate
Headache
Cough
Sore tongue and/or gums
Sleep Disturbances
Sore throat
Constipation, gas, stomach pain
Tightness in the chest
Some ways that could help you with the withdrawal symptoms are:
Wait
When it is time for you to smoke again, just wait a little while before you decide whether you want to smoke again just for about 3 to 5 minutes time. During this time of waiting, take 10 deep breaths slowly, relax yourself, also relaxing your shoulders.
Drink Plenty Of Water
This is to help you fight off the cravings
Become A Part Of A Community
Discuss with someone your feelings about quitting smoking. The easiest way to do that online is through forums. Exchange ideas, opinions and solutions. Youll be surprised the insights youll gain through this experience.
Exercise
I cannot emphasize how important this is, exercise is suppose to boost up your energy so that you have better preparation to fight the cravings.
Get sufficient sleep
An excerpt from “Sleep: Essential for Optimal Health” by Drs. Robert Goldman and Ronald Klatz.
“Don’t slight sleep. It’s when you’re tired that you tend to overwork. When you’re rested you can finish the work without strain and still have energy and time left over for the rest of your life. Research shows that workers who get less than six hours of sleep a night are prone to costly accidents, poor concentration and poor performance. Without sleep depression, anxiety and anger increase.
The quality of sleep is just as important as number of hours. If you have trouble sleeping, try going to bed earlier, before 10:00. This usually creates a deeper sleep. Prepare for deep sleep by avoiding TV and computers in the evening.”
So when you get more rest, the likelihood for the need for cigarette is reduced.
Relaxation
Perform some night rituals such as reading a book before you go to bed or meditation to help you and your body to relax.
